Today, the OFS bargaining team decided to make their 05/17/22 medical proposal their "last and final" medical proposal today, two weeks before expiration of the contract!!!! Not only does this show disrespect to any other ideas your bargaining team might have to balance the scales at the table but also to you, your families, and your labor.
Your bargaining team passed a fair wage increase designed to roll back the concessions made in 2006 and 2009 but the company remains steadfast, regardless of the labor market and inflationary pressures, to keep your wages depressed with little to no appreciation to your contributions to this company.
YOU ARE THE OPERATIONS THEY STATE OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO THEIR SUCCESS BUT YET THEY ARE WILLING TO PAY MORE FOR THE MACHINES YOU CONTROL THAN THEY ARE TO PAY YOU.
WITHOUT YOU, THOSE MACHINES WILL SIT IDLE AND THERE IS NO FIBER OPTIC CABLE!!!!
While we are still open to meeting the rest of the day, we thought that we should notify you as soon as possible of their heinous and insulting behavior this morning.
Congratulations to both Locals 3263 and Local 1400 who have shown their solidarity and commitment to a fair and just contract and have overwhelmingly voted in favor of a strike.
We appreciate your support on the informational picket lines and the company sees your commitment as well, keep up the pressure!
